Akbar Owaisi Case: Chandrayangutta cop transferred

Posted by on May 15, 2011 1 Comment

Hyderabad: In less than a week after the bid on the life of Chandrayangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi by his rivals in Barkas, Chandrayangutta inspector P Venkatagiri was transferred to the counter-intelligence wing.

Hyderabad police commissioner AK Khan on Thursday issued transfer orders after several allegations that police were mute spectators and failed to prevent the attack. There were also allegations that police reacted slowly after the incident.

The video footage of the attack aired on some channels showed that police did not even try to shift the legislator to the hospital or even help party workers who were shifting him.

After the incident, the police commissioner issued memos to the inspector and sub-inspector of Chandrayangutta. Based on preliminary inquiry, the inspector has been transferred. TOI

Is it  enough to transfer lazy, unreliable, racist police officers? have to be suspend them, then others cannot follow them in future. but we have the history of good police officers too, ex Cp & Acps like Pavitran, Vinayak parsad, jai Ram Reddy etc,  A K khan is good experienced police officers he always tried to make a bridge in between two communities and maintaining law and order  very well.  but others officer have to be….. very well.  but others officer have to be…..
