Akbaruddin Owaisi’s case transferred to CCS: Sabita Indra Reddy

Hyderabad: The Home Minister, Ms Sabita Indra Reddy, said that the government would spare no expenditure and ensure that best medical care was provided to Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi. She said that the case was handed over to the CCS police. Except a single bullet, the remaining bullets were removed from the MLA’s body. She said a surgery would be performed on Sunday to remove that bullet.

When asked how many rounds were fired at Mr Akbaruddin, she said that would be known only during the investigation. Stating that she held a meeting with the doctors attending on the MLA, she said the government would provide all possible help to him.

Replying to questions on the investigation, she said that a special team was formed and hoped that they would arrest all concerned shortly. She has assured that the government would give stern punishment to the attackers.

The former chief minister, Mr Rosaiah said that he was praying for the speedy recovery of Mr Owaisi. He said the young MLA was rendering yeomen service to the minorities in the Old City.

Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy despite being in the thick of his election campaign rushed to Hyderabad to visit Owaisi in the hospital.
