Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister Mr. K Rosaiah has said that the Ameerpet land issue has caused mental pain to him, particularly after he has quit the Chief Minister post and was taking rest.
Talking to the media here on Wednesday, he said he was happy that the ACB has given him clean chit in the deal. He has maintained that he had not resorted to any irregularity with regard to the land allocations. Replying a question, he said he was not expecting any official position.
Mr. Rosaiah has maintained that the central government had commitment to routing out corruption in the country. Referring to the objections raised by social activist Anna Hajare on the Lok Pal Bill, Mr. Rosaiah has reminded that he was one of the members of the team that had prepared the draft of the Lok Pal bill. He said it was unfair on the part of Mr. Hajare to raise objections now on the bill. Still the central government was treating Mr. Hajare as a Gandhian and giving due respect to him. He said he hoped that the efforts of the central government would fructify and a conducive atmosphere would be created.
