Hyderabad: Alleging that the loyalists of former MP Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were anti-socials and crorepathis, the senior Congress MLA Mr Anam Vivekananda Reddy said that there was no truth in the allegation that the Congress and TDP have entered into match-fixing in the Local Body MLC elections.

Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Tuesday, Mr Vivekananda Reddy alleged that the loyalists of Mr Jagan can do anything as they have crores of rupees.

Responding on PAC chairman Mr Nagam Janardhan Reddy convening PAC meet on Wednesday, he asked as to what was the need to urgently convene the meeting. He demanded Mr Nagam to reveal his interest in convening the meeting urgently. Making it clear that the members from Congress party would not attend tomorrow’s meeting; he said that Mr Nagam never allows the members to vent their views in the meetings. He also opined that Mr Nagam has no right to convene a meeting tomorrow, because already a new notification was issued for the chairman post.

Speaking at the same venue, MLC Ms Nannapaneni Rajakumari has asked Mr Nagam, who had announced that he will not sit along with Seemandhra MLAs, would convene PAC meeting tomorrow. She said that she will raise this question in tomorrow’s meeting. She also alleged that there were rumors against Mr Nagam that he has taken bribes from the Engineers of Irrigation department.

She alleged that Mr Nagam never considered the members’ appeals on visiting the projects under construction, and said that the members were at a loss due to his attitude. (NSS)
