Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Federation of University Teachers’ Association (APFUTA) will stage a ‘dharna’ on March 5 at the Administrative Blocks of respective Universities in protest against the indifferent attitude of the State government in solving their long pending issues.
The APFUTA, in a pressnote, has alleged that the State government has failed to pay arrears as per GO No. 14 to the University teachers. They also alleged that the government has failed to extend superannuation age to 65 years though the UGC RSP 2006 had recommended to the State government to enhance the age of superannuation to the teaching faculty to 65 years.
The APFUTA has demanded that the government constitute Executive Councils immediately to avoid inconvenience to the government. (NSS)
