Hyderabad: The Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind Andhra Pradesh has demanded the State Government to make special arrangements for the ensuing fasting month of Ramazan throughout the state. Moulana Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed MLC met the Chief Minister Kirna Kumar Reddy on Tuesday and represented that the cleaning operations should be carried out around the Mosques in the district and mandal level and uninterrupted power supply should be ensured in the areas with sizeable Muslim population. He demanded that sufficient security measures should be adopted in the sensitive areas. The shops should be allowed to be remained open till late night during the month to facilitate the fasting Muslim brethren to shop during night hours.
He also suggested that extra sugar and oil for the festival from fair price shops should be supplied to consumers. Moulana Peer Shabbir Ahmed said that the Muslim employees should be allowed to leave the office early as usual.
According to a press release by the Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind AP the Chief Minister agreed to issue necessary instruction to all the district collectors and other officials concerned in this regard.(INN)
