Hyderabad: The Information and Public Relations Minister, Ms D K Aruna, on Thursday exhorted students to strive for good future by studying hard with a goal in mind and never feel education as a burden.
Participating as chief guest at the annual day of the Raja Bahadur Venkatarama Reddy Institute of Technology, Ms Aruna said that late Venkatarama Reddy set up educational institutions and hostels for the students as he had immense love for education. Late Venkatarama Reddy had established educational institutions for women thinking that the society could be benefited if the women became educated and said she was happy to participate in the annual day celebrations of educational institute established by late Venkatarama Reddy where she had completed her education. She said that late Venkatarama Reddy had become a police officer at a tender age in the erstwhile Nizam government and the government awarded ‘Rajabahadur’ title for his services.
Stating that the future of the nation was in the hands of students, she exhorted the students to work hard and emerge victorious by achieving their goals. Later, she distributed prizes to the student winners, who had shown their skills in various competitions.
The College president, Mr Laxmikanth Reddy, the secretary, Mr Chandra Reddy, the Convener, Mr Penta Reddy, and the Principal, Ms Sumavalli were also present. (NSS)
