Audit Officers hold novel protest

Hyderabad, April 17 : The Audit and Senior Audit Officers, who are the backbone  of the 150-year old institution of Comptroller and Auditor General of India, have observed a novel protest of working 12 hours a day, from April 13 to 15, in support of their demands.

Senior audit officers and audit officers association Secretary Mr S V Narayana Reddy  said in a press note here that    in pursuance of the call given by the All India Association,  officers working in Indian Audit and Accounts Department have observed the protest.  They were demanding removal of age limit for promotions, better status and higher pay for the arduous nature of duties they perform conducting the audit of accounts of all Government departments, companies, statutory bodies, etc. (NSS)
