Hyderabad, Feb.20 (NSS): In response to the 48-hour bandh call given by the Telangana Political JAC on February 22 and 23, the Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee has pleaded with the auto drivers in 10 districts of the region, including the Greater Hyderabad, to actively take part in the bandh and make it a grand success.

In a joint press statement issued here today, the Union leaders, Mr Mohammed Amanullah Khan, Mr J Ravinder Kumar, Mr Laxmi Narsaiah and Mr Mohammed Zafaruddhin have appealed to all other unions to actively participate in the bandh being observed to protest the Central as well as the State government’s failure to properly respond to the ongoing non-cooperation movement demanding the introduction of the Telangana Bill in the ensuing budget session of the Parliament.

They further stated that both the Congress and the Telugu Desam governments in the State have miserably failed to redress the long pending grievances like the allotment of houses to homeless auto drivers and the constitution of wage board for auto drivers. (NSS)
