Hyderabad: The AICC leader in-charge of AP affairs, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, and the PCC chief, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, who is in New Delhi, have called up party MP, Dr K Keshava Rao, on Tuesday.
According to the information, the two leaders urged Dr Keshav Rao, to request the Telangana Congress leaders to come to the discussion table so that the issue could be resolved and sorted out. They called up KK as the Telangana Congress leaders have refused to accept the invitation of Mr Azad to visit New Delhi for talks.
It is learnt that Dr Kesava Rao made it clear to both Mr Azad and Mr Botcha that nothing short of a clear announcement was acceptable to Telangana leaders. He is believed to have told that it would be difficult to convince the party leaders from the region to attend Delhi meetings unless there is a specific assurance from the High Command about Telangana.
