Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Wednesday released the list of selected candidates for counselling leading to admission to the six year integrated B Tech course under Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technology.
Releasing the list at the Secretariat, Mr Rajanarasimha said that counselling will held for 2807 seats out of 3000 seats. The remaining 193 seats are allotted to the special category like sports, NCC, physically handicapped.
As many as 421 seats, (15 per cent) have been allotted for open merit system while 1002 seats (42 per cent) have been allocated to students from Andhra University. Besides this, 859 seats (36 per cent of the seats) have been allotted to Osmania University students, and 525 seats (22 per cent) have been set aside for SV University.
The selection for 2011-2012 year was made in accordance with the Presidential Order of 1974 as directed by the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
The counselling will be held at Basar, Nuzuvid and RK Valley (Idupulapaya) from August 22 to 24.
The percentage of students from the rural areas is 84.4 per cent while that of urban areas is 15.6 per cent.
