Hyderabad: Mr Naidu said that they have given no-confidence notice as the Government had miserably failed to safeguard the interests of the farmers who have lost Rs.3,000 crores worth of paddy due to rains, and who are in distress. This Government has lost the confidence of the people, and it has proved to be an inefficient one.
The TDP leader said that their no-trust notice was not even mentioned in the House, though the rules stipulate that it should be taken up for discussion within ten days of the notice. The opposition parties have a right to give no-confidence notice, and it should be taken up for discussion in the house.
Mr Naidu said they have requested the Governor to see that the rules were respected by the Government and the no-trust notice was taken up within ten days as per the rules.
The TDP chief took a dig at the YSR Congress party leader Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy also, and asked where is Mr Jagan who boasted of dethroning the Government, when the farmers are in distress and when the people have lost confidence in the Government.
