Hyderabad: Accusing Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of adopting the recommendations in the eighth chapter of the Justice Srikrishna Committee’s report, suspended TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Sunday said that Mr Naidu was deliberately creating differences among Telangana leaders.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Mr Janardhan Reddy said that Mr Chandrababu Naidu is creating differences between Telangana leaders and resorting to cheap tricks to avoid making his stand clear on the issue.
“Mr Naidu’s manipulations are part of the recommendations of the eighth chapter in the Justice Srikrishna Committee report. He is trying to divide the party’s leader from Telangana,” he alleged.
Mr Janardhan Reddy added that Mr Naidu is making efforts to water down the Telangana agitation and alleged that he conspired with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in organizing the Telangana Ranabheri with Seemandra leaders.
“Naidu’s main intention is how to protect the party in Telangana region. As part of his strategy, he conspired with Chief Minister and organized Ranabheri in Tandur under the aegis of Seemandhra leaders,” he alleged.
“However, Mr Naidu is bound to fail as he is without the support of people and their active participation. It is impossible to him to protect the party. Its very survival in Telangana is difficult,” Mr Janardhan Reddy opined.
Describing the Telangana Ranabheri as an ‘utter flop,’ Mr Janardhan Reddy sent an open invitation to the TDP leaders from Telangana to attend his `Telangana Nagara’ to be organized in Adilabad district on Monday.
He expressed confidence that his Nagara would meet with success as he would organise the event on the people’s demand and in respect of their sentiments on Telangana.
The suspended TDP MLA further advised the TDP Telangana leaders to understand the sentiments of the Telangana people and make efforts to fulfil their long cherished dream of Telangana.
“The people of Telangana are not in a position to believe the TDP until Mr Naidu writes a letter to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram stating that the party has no objection to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh,” Mr Janardhan Reddy said.
He added that if Mr Naidu does indeed writes such a letter to Mr Chidambaram, the TDP would regain its past glory in Telangana and people will repose their faith in the party.
Mr Janardhan Reddy also disclosed that he would convene a round-table conference in Kakinada in East Godavari to prevail upon Seemandhra leaders over the Telangana issue.
He said Congress president Sonia Gandhi was his prime target as she announced Telangana on her birthday gift and retracted her words later.(INN)
