Hyderabad: The B C Associations on Monday urged the State Government to install statute of Mahatma Jhotirao Phule in the state capital at the earliest.

The BC leader requested the Chief minister to appoint directors and allocate required funds to 14 federations of BC castes.
The Jhotirao Phule birth anniversary celebrations committee Chairman, Mr mallesh Yadav urged the Government to setup Phule statute beside statute of Ambedkar at Tank Bund. A lesson on life of Phule should be introduced in curricula of primary schools or upper primary schools that would facilitate us to make the coming generations aware of the great leader and his ideology, he added.
