Hyderabad: The BJP State President and MLA, Mr G Kishan Reddy took strong exception to the comments made by the PCC President, Mr D Srinivas that the TRS Chief Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao has consulted a veterinary doctor (BJP), instead of a physician (Congress), for treatment to his problem (Telangana issue).

Speaking at Media Point in the premises of Legislative Assembly here, Mr Kishan Reddy strongly criticized the PCC President for his irrelevant comments. Stating that the BJP was in favor of the concept of small states, he reminded that the Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha, Mrs Sushma Swaraj raised the Telangana issue in the house, but the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh did not open his mouth on the matter. He questioned as to whether the Congress was capable of passing the Telangana bill in the Parliament without the support of BJP. The PCC Chief had no moral right to question the Telangana agitators as to why they were meeting the BJP leaders. The Congress Government has consulted the BJP, which was termed by the PCC chief as veterinary doctor, to pass the bill on revival of A P Legislative Council in the Parliament, he reminded.

He also attributed the uncertainty prevailing in the state to the indecisive position of the ruling Congress on Telangana Statehood issue. The Congress high command was adopting black- mailing tactics on the issue. He charged the Congress with lack of sincerity in resolving the issue of Telanagana Statehood.

Terming Kiran Kumar Reddy Government as adjournment government, Mr Kishan Reddy alleged that the Government has postponed the implementation of poll promises on Telangana Statehood, SC Classification, nine hours free power supply to farmers and enhancement of rice quota to 30 kgs from 25 kgs under PDS. Moreover, the Legislative Assembly was being adjourned every day without discussing the public issues.

Strongly objecting to the Vijayawada MP, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal terming the BJP as a destructive party, Mr Kishan Reddy alleged that the Congress party workers burnt several people alive and damaged properties after the death of Vangaveeti Ranga at Vijayawada. The Congress workers resorted to killing of 3,000 Skihs in New Delhi after assassination of Indira Gandhi. Mr Lagadapati was talking like that due to mental illness. The Congress MP should have to pay a heavy price, if he fails to mend his behavior, he warned.

Stating that BJP was against the programme of “Pinda Pradhanam to Assembly” (last rights to the Legislative Assembly), which was planned by Telangana Joint Action Committee (T JAC), the BJP leader announced that they would not participate in the programme. “We need to continue with this Legislative Assembly until the formation of separate Telangana State”, he opined.
