Hyderabad: The State Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that the Centre immediately introduce Telangana Bill in Parliament taking note of the intensity of the ongoing Telangana movement, especially the “Million March” on Thursday.
In a pressnote here on Friday, the party executive committee hailing the massive success of the “Million March” said that it considered it as a victory of the Telangana activists, who braved the obstacles put up by the police and the State government. It also added that the massive success of the “Million March” was a slap on the face of the Chief Minister, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy.
However, the party condemned the demolition of statues on Tank Bund, attacks on the Congress party MPs, Mr Madhu Yakshi and Dr K Keshav Rao and the media. The BJP has stated that vandalism was not the culture of Telangana people. (NSS)
