Hyderabad: Extending total support to the Telangana JAC-sponsored “Rail Roko” programme on March 1, the State Bharatiya Janata Party has exhorted the people and its party workers to participate in the programme in lakhs and make it a grand success.

In a pressnote here on Saturday, the State BJP Telangana Udyama Committee chairman, Dr T. Rajeshwara Rao, appealed to the people in all parts of the region to rush to the rail tracks and participate in the 12-hour Rail Roko on that day in conformity with the decision taken by the Telangana Political JAC.

Referring to the “false campaign” of the Telugu Desam party president, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, Dr Rajeshwara Rao stated that the former should be ashamed of alleging that the national BJP leader, Mr L K Advani, had said that formation of separate Telangana State was not possible during the NDA regime. Dr Rao asked Mr Naidu whether it was not a fact that Telugu Desam members, being constituents of the NDA, boycotted Parliament when the then government proclaimed formation of three States. He also questioned the former chief minister whether it was not a fact that they opposed smaller States citing their party ideology?
Charging the TDP president with making his party’s Telangana leaders as scapegoats in order to protect his “integrationist” identity, the BJP leader asked his party activists to refute the vilification campaign of the “Telangana traitor” like Mr Chandrababu Naidu. (NSS)
