Hyderabad: The State Bharatiya Janata Party president, Mr Kishan Reddy has dismissed the criticism by the Congress party leader and Vijayawada MP, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal against his party on the issue of desecration of statues on the Tank Bund on the “Million March” day.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Mr Reddy said that Mr Rajagopal has confirmed his nickname as “Jagadapati” with his baseless criticism against his party. Terming Mr Rajagopal as a “political innocent” because he does not have any idea about the issue of the destruction of statues, Mr Kishan Reddy said that he does not have any moral right to level charges against his party activists. Advising him to know all the facts first before making charges against others, he also warned that otherwise they would initiate legal proceedings. He also reminded that Mr Lagadapati fled to Hyderabad like a petty thief after taking up agitation in Vijayawada in favour of the United State.

Mr Kishan Reddy also said that Mr Lagadapati could undertake an inquiry by some detective agency to unearth facts in connection with the desecration of statues on the Tank Bund. He reiterated that the party would not be scared of such allegations, and also added that the BJP has seen many people like Mr Rajagopal in its long journey so far. (NSS)
