BJP to remain in TJAC & intensify struggle for Telangana state

Hyderabad: Keeping in mind the fast changing political situation and alignments in the State, the State BJP executive has called upon the party leaders to rededicate themselves to help strengthen the party in view of the 2014 general elections.

The State BJP executive meeting was held in the party office here on Saturday under the presidentship of State party chief, Mr G Kishan Reddy. Presidents and general secretaries of party district units and leaders of party wings were present at the meeting.

Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, the State party general secretary, Mr N Ramchander Rao, said the party leaders have decided to show the party’s strength in the ensuing local bodies’ elections. Similarly, they have decided to identify and concentrate on the municipalities where they can emerge victorious in the elections, he added.

He said the meeting also decided to continue uncompromising struggle for achieving separate Telangana State. It was also decided to remain in the Telangana Political JAC and intensify the movement. Stating that the meeting strongly felt that development was possible in small States, Mr Ramchander Rao exuded confidence that the party would achieve a special status in the ensuing elections.
