BJP wants EC to curb money flow in By Elections

Hyderabad: The Bharatheeya Janatha Party (BJP) has demanded the Election Commission to initiate steps to curb the flow of money and delivering inciting and provocative speeches in the by-elections.

Speaking to the media at State BJP office here on Tuesday, the former Union Minister and senior leader Mr Ch Vidyasagar Rao said that the Election Commission has the responsibility to investigate and reveal the names of the persons from whom the police has seized lakhs of rupees in Kadapa, Pulivendula by-elections.

Demanding the Election Commission to take action on the Health Minister Dr DL Ravindra Reddy’s statement on Paritala Ravi murder, Mr Vidyasagar Rao asked the State government to reopen the Paritala Ravi’s murder case, treating the Health Minister’s statement as government statement, and naming him as a witness.
