Hyderabad: A call from an unidentified person threatening to blast Moula-Ali railway station created panic on Friday. But after police searches, the call turned out to be a hoax.
Malkajgiri police said around 11:30 am, the booking clerk at the ticket counter of the railway station received a call saying that a bomb was planted in the station which would explode any moment. The caller spoke in Telugu.
In view of the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai a couple of days ago, the railway clerk, taking no chances, informed the police immediately.
Police along with the bomb squad and sniffer dogs reached the spot and conducted searches in the railway station and surrounding places for more than an hour. No explosive material was found. TOI
