Hyderabad: Reiterating that the State government was keen on the deletion of Clause 14(F) from the Presidential Order, 1975, the PCC Chief Mr Botcha Sathyanarayana has exuded confidence that the decision on abolition of 14(F) Clause might come within three days.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Mr Botcha said that the file relating to deletion of 14(F) Clause was already on the Prime Minister’s table. The Prime Minister might send it to the Rashtrapathi Bhavan within two, three days.
Refuting the charge that the State government was adopting a negligent attitude on the ‘Crop Holiday’ issue, he said that the government was firm on extending help to the farmers. He said that the farmers had announced crop holiday as they were vexed with three crops per year. By sowing three crops they were receiving losses, he opined. The Chief Minister and the officials concerned were initiating steps to extend help to the farmers. He also opined that Godavari water would be released in time and it would help to rescue the farmers. He said that the PCC will organise a workshop on Crop Holiday issue shortly.
