Botcha Satyanarayana to take charge as PCC chief today

Hyderabad: The Transport Minister, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, will take charge as president of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee on June 11 at 11 am at Prakasam Hall, Gandhi Bhavan here.

In a pressnote here today, the PCC general secretary, Mr Gidugu Rudra Raju, stated that the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, the All India Congress Committee functionaries, ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and party workers will be present at the swearing-in ceremony of the new PCC president.

Starting from his residence at Ministers’ Quarters on Road No 12, Banjara Hills, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana will proceed to Somajiguda crossroad and will pay floral tributes to Rajiv Gandhi statue, to YSR statue at Panjagutta, to Indira Gandhi statue on the Necklace Road, at the statue of Dr B.R Ambedkar at Tankbund and to the statue of Babu Jagjivan Ram at L.B. Stadium at Basheerbagh.

Later, he will visit Bangaru Maisamma Temple near Public Gardens and leave for Gandhi Bhavan in an open jeep in a procession. In Gandhi Bhavan, he will pay floral tributes at the Statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
