Hyderabad: The PCC Chief, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, has said that he would react on the participation of the YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s confidant and Congress MP, Mr Sabbam Hari, in the discussions with the Congress State Party Affairs in-charge, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday evening at Delhi, after speaking to Mr Azad.
Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, the PCC president said that he would react only after speaking with Mr Azad about the Karimnagar MP, Mr Ponnam Prabhakar, questioning the Eluru MP, Mr Kavuri Sambasiva Rao as to why they (Seemandhra leaders) had invited Mr Sabbam Hari, a covert of Mr Y S Jagan, to join the delegation holding talks with Mr Azad on the Telangana issue.
Stating that the State, district and mandal level Congress committees were scrapped, the PCC chief said that new committees would be constituted only after the Telangana issue was solved once and for all.
Mr Botcha said the party was examining the Telangana issue in all angles to find a lasting solution. Responding to a question, the PCC president said that the Telangana ministers abstaining from duties was quite different from attending the Independence Day celebrations on August 15. He also made it clear that he has not received any official communication from the Chief Minister’s Office about the State Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on August 16 in the Chief Minister’s Camp office.
Stating that discussions were being held at various levels to find a lasting solution to the knotty Telangana issue, the PCC chief urged the Telangana Employees’ unions’ leaders to withdraw the strike notice in order to create a congenial atmosphere and help solve the separate State issue.
Mr Satyanarayana said that he has postponed his proposed tour of East Godavari district in view of the Praja Rajyam Party chief, Mr K Chiranjeevi, joining the Congress party on August 20.
