Hyderabad: The Cabinet reshuffle is likely to take place on June 16 for providing berth to the Praja Rajyam party in the State Cabinet.
According to informed sources, the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, will go to New Delhi on June 12 to get seal of approval to the list of new ministers. With the exit of Mr Jupalli Krishna Rao and Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy, the two Cabinet posts were vacant and attached to other two ministers as additional charge. Hence, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy has facility to induct five new members in his Cabinet.
As the issue of “Jagan coverts in the cabinet” surfaced, rumors were making round that the Ministers, who were supporting the YSR Congress Party chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, from inside, would be dropped in the ensuing cabinet reshuffle. However, the PCC Chief and Transport Minister, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, indicated that no minister will be dropped and change of portfolios may be effected in the reshuffle.
The PRP may get two or three Minister posts in the cabinet. The Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Damodar Rajanarasimha may get Home portfolio in the reshuffle. Whether Mr Botcha Satyanarayana would continue in two posts of Minister and PCC president or not will be clear with the cabinet reshuffle.
The Chief Minister willing to get the full control and grip on the cabinet members with the cabinet reshuffle. Keeping it in the mind, he prepared the list of cabinet members and reshuffle of the cabinet portfolio.
As the next few months were crucial and challenging to his government, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy is keen on having a strong team to successfully face the political challenges. Apparently, June and July will be testing time to the government as several Telangana organizations have decided to intensify the agitation.
