Hyderabad: No minister will be dropped in the ensuing Cabinet reshuffle likely to be effected this month. However, portfolios of the ministers may be changed.
During a chit-chat with mediapersons in his chambers, the Transport Minister and PCC president-elect, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, hinted at the possibility of the PRP getting two or three minister posts in the new Cabinet. He felt that the party should serve notices for disqualification of two MLAs who supported YSR Congress Party president, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Making it clear that the Congress high command would decide whether to allow him to continue in two posts i.e. PCC president and minister, he said that he would abide by the decision of the party high command.
Mr Satyanarayana said that the State government was keen on holding Panchayat Raj elections as per schedule. But, it was also ready to get prepared for alternative, if there were any hurdles for the conduct of the local body elections. He pointed out that 50 per cent reservation for women and BC reservations are likely to be main hurdles to the elections.
