Hyderabad: The Minister for Higher Education, Mr Damodara Rajanarasimha, here on Thursday released Polytechnic Entrance Examination (CEEP) results. As usual, the girl students outshone the boys in the examination this year also. Pass percentage was 84.41.
While a total number of 1,84,932 students appeared for the entrance test, 84.41 per cent achieved eligibility for admission into polytechnic colleges. While 82.79 per cent boys came out successful, 89.10 per cent girls proved their mettle. Mr Anirudh of Ranga Reddy district achieved first rank by scoring 116 marks and Shravya of Khammam district got second rank with 115 marks and Devender Kumar and Divya Teja secured third rank by scoring 114 marks. Interestingly, West Godavari district bagged six ranks in the first ten ranks.
While Ranga Reddy stood first, Khammam and West Godavari districts remained at second and third places respectively.

The results give path for admission into various diploma courses in Engineering and non-engineering offered through CEEP in the Polytechnics, course duration and the area of employment as envisaged for placements as Technicians and Technical Supervisors which was conducted on April 30. (NSS)
