Hyderabad: Alleging that the Centre’s different views expressed in Parliament and in Courts were part of a larger conspiracy to divert the attention of the people, Telugu Desam Party Legislator Revanth Reddy on Sunday charged the Centre of playing with the lives of the students by keeping the deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders pending since the past 16 months.
“Despite the state Assembly passing a resolution on the deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders of 1975, the Centre has failed to respond properly to the issue and has thus insulted the Telangana people,” the MLA from Kodangal told media persons at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office.
Mr Revanth Reddy further alleged that the Centre playing with thousands of students lives by keeping the issue pending since the past 16 months.
“The Centre has hatched a conspiracy to divert the attention of people on the issue by presenting different views in Parliament and in Courts,” he alleged.
He pointed out that the Union Home Ministry officials were seeking another resolution to be passed by the state Assembly in their counter affidavit in the High Court on the same day when Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had made a statement that he has sent a file to Prime Minister’s Office for clearance.
Mr Revanth Reddy demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sack Mr Chidambaram from the Cabinet for diverting the attention of House on the issue by making divergent statements.
“If the counter affidavit filed in the Court is false, the Court should book cases against mr Chidambaram for violating the rules,” he demanded.(INN)
