Hyderabad: The former chief minister and Telugu Desam party president, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, and the Praja party president, Mr K Chiranjeevi, on Tuesday visited the Care Hospital in Banjara Hills and enquired about the condition of the MIM floor leader in the Assembly, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, who miraculously escaped from jaws of death in a dare-devil attack by his rivals three days ago.
Mr Chandrababu Naidu, who returned home on Monday after hectic electioneering in Kadapa and Pulivendula, motored down to Care Hospital and enquired with the doctors about the condition of the MIM leader.
Talking to mediapersons later, Mr Naidu said that the doctors told him that Mr Akbaruddin’s condition was out of danger and the ventilator has been removed. The former chief minister wished that the MIM legislator recoup his health early. He also quoted the doctors as saying that the injured leader would be alright in four or five days.
The Leader of Opposition said that there was no law and order in the State during the Congress regime. He also charged the State government with miserably failing to protect law and order. He suggested to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government to take immediate steps to ensure that such violent incidents did not recur.
“I didn’t enter the chamber where Mr Akbaruddin was taking treatment on the advice of the doctors as it would cause infection”, he said. The ventilation to the MIM leader was removed and his health condition was improved, he added.
Stating that Mr Jhani, the gunman of MIM MLA, Mr Balala, has reacted sharply and showed courage during the attack, Mr Naidu urged the government to recognize the services of such people..
Mr Chiranjeevi felt that attack on the leader, who always fights on the issues of the people, was most unfortunate. He also appreciated the gunman of Mr Balala for his courage when the attack on Mr Akbaruddin took place. The government should recognize it and give promotion to reward the guman. (NSS)
