Hyderabad: The TDP Chief Mr N Chandrababu Naidu has said that the YSR Congress Party Chief Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy or his supporters have no right to criticise the TDP on the no-trust motion against the State government. Alleging that the new PCC Chief Mr Botcha Sathyanarayana was indulging in liquor syndicate, Mr Naidu demanded the former to answer the points raised in the letter addressed to high command opposing his appointment as the PCC Chief, by the Amalapuram MP Mr GV Harsha Kumar.
Delivering the inaugural address to the two- day workshop to the TDP activists at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Tuesday, Mr Naidu has alleged that the new PCC Chief was a big liquor business man. He asked the Congress high command whether it hadn’t found any other non-corrupt person in the Congress party for the post. He opined that the Indian politics needed a party like TDP and said that TDP has grown as an alternative to the Congress party in the State.
Criticizing the BJP for its communal politics, Mr Naidu said that no party should dictate politics with the communal card. He advised the BJP and Congress to protect secularism in the country.
Lashing out at the state government for not extending any help to the farmers though they were facing problems with the unseasoned rains, Mr Naidu said that the government was not even in a position to ensure minimum support price to the paddy. Dubbing Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government as a ‘waste government’, Mr Naidu said that it was not responding even though the TDP organised several agitations on the issue.
He alleged that the farmers were not getting the seeds even as the monsoon arrived on time and said that the stocks of paddy were lying in the godowns. He said that the Party was appointing a committee to solve the problems of the farmers.
He said that backward classes have improved politically only after the launch of the TDP. The Handloom workers in the state were starving with lack of food, he said and added that the government have to move the socially backward groups forward in the society.
He made it clear that the TDP will not keep silent if the government reduces the BC reservation in the Local Body elections.
