Hyderabad: Stating that there would be serious consequences if the State was not bifurcated, the TDP senior leader Mr Errabelli Dayakar Rao has advised the Seemandhra leaders who were demanding for United Andhra Pradesh to live with the then Madras people.
Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Friday, Mr Dayakar Rao said that the Telangana people were not expecting any region’s assets and only demanding for separate Telangana. He opined that it was not correct to obstruct the process of creation of Telangana for their selfish ends.
Making it clear that the Telangana TDP leaders were ready to sacrifice anything for the sake of Telangana, Mr Dayakar Rao said that the Telangana people would protect the assets of those settled in the Telangana region. He also made it clear that the Telangana people would not protect the assets of those who were obstructing the process of creation of Telangana.
Reacting to the Seemandhra TDP leaders’ statement that they would obstruct the creation of Telangana by laying down their lives if necessary, he asked the Seemandhra TDP leaders to answer as to how many persons laid down their lives for the sake of United Andhra Pradesh. About 600 students laid down their lives for the sake of separate Telangana state, he said and advised the Seemandhra leaders not to make provocative statements.
Thanking the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy for releasing water to the Lower Maner Dam through the Flood Flow Canal, Mr Dayakar Rao said that the Major Irrigation Minister Mr Sudharshan Reddy failed to do so. (NSS)
