Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation Chairman Mr. M. Satyanarayana Rao said that not only Mr. Chiranjeevi, but also Minister for Transport Mr. Botcha Satyanaraya has also staked their claims for the CM’s post recently.
Speaking to media persons here today, he said there was nothing wrong in wanting to become the chief minister. He said in fact most of the Congress leaders wanted to become the Chief Minister. He has claimed that he had given an opportunity to late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to become Chief Minister.
On Telangana, he said he was ready to quit his post for separate Telangana State. Mr. Satyanaraya has urged the central government to take a decision on Telangana issue at the earliest. He felt there were no need to set up special Boards and packages to Telangana region. He felt that they wanted only Telanagana Separate state instead of the posts. He has lamented that diesel prices have been frequently hiked by the government. He however said he did not like increasing the bus charges. He has urged all Congress leaders and cadres to unitedly strive for party development.
