City Cong corporator defects to YSR Cong

Hyderabad: In a latest development, the Congress corporator, Mr Adam Vijay Kumar, from Sitaphalmandi, joined the YSR Congress party on Sunday. He joined the new party in the presence of its senior leader, Mr Y V Subba Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Vijay Kumar said that he joined the YSR Congress party as he was vexed with the Congress politics in the State. He said that he decided to work under the leadership of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed when the YSR Congress party activists, who occupied the Congress party office in East Godavari district, replaced Congress flags with those of YSR Congress party flags.

In Karimnagar also, tension prevailed when the Telangana protagonists stormed the YSR Congress party office and demanded that the YSR Congress party activists spell their stand on Telangana issue. The police intervened and brought the situation under control when YSR Congress party activists tried to push the Telangana activists out of the office.
