Visakhapatnam: Candidates from the city managed to capture the top two spots while the third rank was captured by a student from Guntur in the results of Integrated Common Entrance Test-2011 which were released on Thursday.

Releasing the results, Andhra University Vice-Chancellor and Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) 2011 Chairman B Satyanarayana on Thursday said that the first and second rank went to Pradeep Reddy, who secured 185 marks followed by Aditya Kiran with 184 marks.

Both Pradeep and Aditya hailed from Hyderabad. The third rank was bagged by Anirudh Asish from Guntur district, who scored 183 marks.

In girls category, the first rank scored by Kappadantu Lavanya from Vijayawada in Krishna district with 179 marks.

From the 1.5 lakh candidates who had applied, 1,40,120 appeared for the Entrance Examination and 1,26,454 students qualified Prof Satyanarayana disclosed.

The students who cleared ICET 2011 are eligible for admission into MBA and MCA courses in all universities in Andhra Pradesh and their affiliated colleges.
