Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, Mr A K Khan, on Saturday reviewed security arrangements at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds, the venue of the State government’s official celebration of Independence Day on August 15.

Elaborate security arrangements were made at Parade Grounds and the senior police officials were supervising them. A large number of police personnel will be deployed in the areas around the Parade ground.

Vehicular traffic will also be diverted on the roads leading to the Parade Ground. The dog squad and bomb detection teams were checking the sprawling Ground every day.

Speaking to the media, Mr Khan said that several VIPs would attend the Independence Day celebrations at Parade Ground. The Chief Minister would take salute at the ceremonial parade. The vehicles having valid passes would only be allowed towards Parade Ground and they must be parked at the allotted parking lots. Visitors should not come to the Parade Ground carrying tiffin boxes, bags and other goods, he added.
