Hyderabad, Feb.10 (NSS): Strongly condemning the criticism against AICC president Ms Sonia Gandhi by former minister Ms Konda Surekha, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has said that the process has begun already on taking action against her.

Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Thursday along with the MLCs Mr Rudraraju Padmaraju, Mr Kanukula Janardhan Reddy, Mr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, former MLC Mr Madasu Gangadhar, the Government Whip Mr Kondru Murali demanded Ms Surekha to talk against Ms Sonia Gandhi after resigning from the party, if she had any ethics. He said that every one knows the history of Ms Surekha before she became MLA. Finding fault with Ms Surekha for using late Dr YSR’s name, Mr Murali said that the latter remained in the party till his last breath. Dr YSR died as a Congress chief minister, he asserted and made it clear that late Dr YSR was wealth of Congress party and not any others. He said that Ms Surekha has no right to criticize the Congress party and Ms Sonia Gandhi, while owning late Dr YSR. The former chief minister Mr Rosaiah and present Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy were implementing the schemes introduced by late Dr YSR because the latter belongs to Congress party. He said that Ms Surekha’s criticism was unfortunate and unwanted.

The Whip said that Mr Chiranjeevi was merging PRP with the Congress as he liked the policies of the latter and added that it was not proper for Ms Surekha to criticize Mr Chiranjeevi. He warned that she will face serious consequences if she continued her criticism against Ms Sonia Gandhi or any Congress leader, taking advantage of senior leader Mr G Venkataswamy’s criticism.

Dubbing Ms Surekha as a ‘Letters’ Queen’, Mr Padma Raju asked her to spell out as to who were behind the letters. He said that it was not proper for her to support Mr Venkataswamy’s criticism against Ms Sonia Gandhi. He said that Ms Surekha was under pressure and hence she was sailing with integrationist Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, but advocating separate Telangana. He advised her to resign the party if she wanted, and said that the Congress cadre would not tolerate anymore if she criticses Ms Sonia Gandhi.

Urging the party high command for suspension of Ms Surekha, AICC secretary Mr Sudhakar Reddy said that she was one among the persons who were destroying the career of Mr Jagan. (NSS)
