Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has called the Director General of Police, Mr Aravinda Rao, to his chamber and instructed him that law and order was properly maintained in Puttaparti in view of the heavy influx of VVIPs, including the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, and the UPA Chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy also directed the DGP to ensure that the devotees coming to Puttaparti to have the last darshan of Satya Sai Baba are not put to inconvenience. He told the State police chief to ensure that his force maintained utmost restraint and ensured that there were no mistakes. He told him to take all precautionary measures for organizing the last rites of Baba without a hitch. (NSS)
