Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday reportedly assured the Telangana Ministers, who met him, that he would try his best for deletion of 14(f) clause from the Presidential Order before the date of Sub-Inspectors recruitment test ie August 13.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Damodara Rajanarsimha, the Ministers, Mr Danam Nagender and Mr Mukesh Goud, and the Congress MLA, Mr Thurpu Jaya Prakash Reddy (Jagga Reddy) met the Chief Minister in the Secretariat and requested for immediate deletion of 14(f) clause in the interest of the Telangana youth.
Speaking at the media point after meeting the Chief Minister, Mr Jaya Prakash Reddy reminded that the Telangana Ministers and MLAs have been requesting the government for deletion of 14(f) clause from the Presidential Order for the last few months. In the light of Union Home Minister Mr P Chidambrama’s recent statement on 14(f) clause, the Chief Minister felt that there was no need for another Assembly resolution for removal of 14(f) clause, he added.
“We urged the Chief Minister to bring immense pressure on the Centre for deletion of 14(f) clause.”, he added.
He informed that they have also asked the Chief Minister to postpone the SI recruitment test scheduled on July 13, if the deletion of 14(f) clause was delayed.
According to the sources, the Chief Minister reacted negatively to the request of the Telangana leaders for postponement of SI recruitment. In a significant development, the Director General of Police (DGP), Mr Dinesh Reddy also visited the Secretariat twice and met the Chief Minister. He reportedly discussed the matter of SI recruitment test with the Chief Minister.
