Hyderabad: Apparently in the wake of hectic political activity, the Chief Minister, Mr Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, here on Thursday morning motored down to the residence of his predecessor, Mr K Rosaiah, at Ameerpet and closeted with him for some time. He reportedly discussed with Mr Rosaiah about the latest political developments and the latter’s recent Delhi tour.
According to informed sources, the Chief Minister reportedly enquired about Mr Rosaiah’s two-day visit to the national capital. In the wake of news reports that the former chief minister was being tipped as Governor to a State, Mr Reddy reportedly visited his predecessor and discussed about the Ameerpet land scam. Mr Reddy reportedly discussed with Mr Rosaiah as how to extricate the latter from the ACB case on the land scam.
Besides, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy reportedly sought advice from the veteran Congress leader about the threats of no-confidence motion by the YSR Congress and Telugu Desam parties. He also sought suggestions over filling of posts of Assembly Speaker and Council chairman and others.
As there were allegations that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy was not taking his senior Cabinet colleagues and party functionaries into confidence in running the administration, the Chief Minister appears to have changed his style of functioning and preparing to consult seniors on important issues. It may be mentioned here that on Wednesday, the Chief Minister called on the Governor, Mr E S L Narasimhan, at Raj Bhavan and discussed the affairs.
