Hyderabad, Feb.15 (NSS): The Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Tuesday called on the Governor, Mr E S L Narasimhan, to formally invite the latter to address the Joint session of the Legislative Assembly and Council.
The Governor will address the joint session on February 17, commencement of Budget session of the Legislature. The session would be an acid test for the Kiran Kumar Reddy government in the wake of political turmoil and revolt by some ruling party MLAs. Though it has no required strength in the House, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi announced its plan to table a no-confidence motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy government. The Chief Minister reportedly explained to the Governor about his strategy to tackle the situation. The Chief Minister also apprised the Governor of the political situation during the meeting.
The non-cooperation movement planned by the Telangana employees and regional outfits from February 17 reportedly figured during the discussion. The Chief Minister also shared the agenda of the government in the budget sessions with the Governor. (NSS)
