Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, today expressed profound grief over the death of former Principal Secretary to the then Prime Ministers. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, Dr P.C. Alexander. The Chief Minister stated Dr Alexander was also the former Governor of Maharashra, Tamil Nadu and Goa, former Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Member of Rajya Sabha. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy described late Dr Alexander as one of the most distinguished and respected public servants of the post-Independence era.
The Chief Minister said Dr Alexander was also an outstanding statesman, able administrator and eminent writer. The Chief Minister stated Dr Alexander has the distinction of having held several high positions in public life both at the national and international levels spanning a period of over half a century. The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
