Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will launch the innovative scheme of providing tenant farmer credit card facility in the state, at Rajahmundry in East Godavari district on Sunday.
This was revealed by Minister for Registrations and Stamps Thota Narasimham on Thursday to the media after he reviewed the arrangements in connection with the Chief Minister’s visit to East Godavari district at Roads and Buildings Guest House with senior officials.
Mr Narasimham said that the state government has initiated this innovative scheme of providing credit facility to the tenant farmers and accordingly each farmer would be given identity cards.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy will launch this programme at Rajahmundry formally during his visit on 10th of July, the Minister said. He added that the process of identification was going on in the state and 62 thousand farmers were identified in East Godavari district alone, so far.
In this connection the Chief Minister would attend public meeting at Arts College Grounds, at 11 AM on Sunday where he would interact with farmers. The Minister further said that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy would attend review meeting with officials at 2 PM at the Roads and Buildings Guest House and later at 4 PM, the Chief Minister would lay foundation stone to administrative building of Adikavi Nannaya University at Velugubanda near Rajahmnudry.
ZP chairperson CH Venugopala Krishna, district Collector M Ravichandran, Urban SP P Umapathy, Rajahmundry and Kothapeta MLAs R Suryaprakasa Rao and B Satyananda Rao, MLC K Durgesh and other senior officials of various departments attended the review meeting. (INN)
