CM visits Goddess Mahankali to mark Bonalu festival

Hyderabad: Thousands of devotees including Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, and Telugu desam Party president Mr N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday performed special poojas to mark Bonalu Jatara at Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad.

The Chief Minister offered silk clothes to the Goddess Mahankali on behalf of state government and performed special poojas.

The temple authorities have given a traditional welcome to the Chief Minister, and police made elaborate security arrangements to mark his visit to the temple.

Where as Telugu Desam President Mr N Chandrababu Naidu visited the temple in the morning hours and offered special pooja.

Mr Naidu said that he prayed for removal of political uncertainty in the state and effective law and order.

National Disaster Management Authority Vice-Chairman Mr Marri Shashidhar Reddy, MP Mr Anjan Kumar Yadav, Secunderabad MLA Mrs Jayasudha, Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader Mr Bhandaru Dattatreya and Greater Hyderabad Municipal corporation Mayor Mrs Bhandaru Karthika Reddy also visited the temple to witness the occasion (INN)
