Mahabubnagar: Advising Congress party leaders from Telangana not to become ‘slaves’ to their party president Sonia Gandhi, suspended Telugu Desam Party MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Friday said that their unstinted commitment alone would suffice in the fight for a separate statehood.

“You need not become slaves of All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi for achieving Telangana,” Mr Janardhan Reddy suggested to the Congress leaders.

Talking to media persons here, Mr Janardhan Reddy appealed to Telangana Congress leaders to work with commitment to achieve Telangana.

All leaders, including those of the Congress party, should rise above their party politics and agenda to achieve separate statehood for Telangana, Mr Janardhan Reddy stated.

“The time has come to work with commitment for the achievement of Telangana state,” he added.

He advised the Telugu Desam Party leaders to organise `Telangana Ranabheri’ in Tandur after getting a clear statement on Telangana from Party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Mr Janardhan Reddy also stated that he would be organising the Telangana Nagara in Adilabad district on June 13 and appealed to all Telangana leaders to participate in the event.

Stating that he would extend support to Telangana Political Joint Action Committee for their agitation programmes, the suspended TDP MLA also sought same support from TPJAC convenor Kodandaram.(INN)
