Hyderabad: The Jagan loyalist and MLA, Ms Konda Surekha, has said that the government was baffled at the response received by Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, for his fast on the issue. She said that ministers could not visit the hunger strike camp as they did not have courage to look straight into his eyes. Though the government did not respond, the people had understood the sincerity of Mr. Jagan, she added. Reiterating that power was not important to her, she assured that she would be with YSR’s family.
JAGAN SHOULD BE PROTECTED: PADMAVATI
The MLC, Ms Pulla Padmavati, has said that if Mr Jagan was protected, the people would once again experience the rule of late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
The former MLC, Mr Rehman, has faulted the government for not bothering to send any one to Mr Jagan, who went on fast for one week. He alleged that the ministers, Mr D L Ravindra Reddy and Dr P Shankar Rao, were “thieves” and the Rajya Sabha member, Mr Hanumantha Rao, was a “toddy thief”.
Several leaders met with Mr Jagan and extended their support to his fight for fees reimbursement. The Kurnool district Congress leader, Mr Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, the Pithapuram former MLA, Mr Dorababu, have visited the camp and expressed their solidarity with Mr Jagan. The Rayadurgam MLA, Mr Kapu Ramachandra Reddy has said that he would question the government on fee reimbursement in the Assembly. The MP, Mr Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, the MLAs, Mr Amaranath Reddy, Mr Adinarayana Reddy, Mr Srinivasulu, Mr Babu Rao, Mr Ramachandra Reddy, Mr Balineni Srinivsa Reddy, the MLCs, Mr Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, Ms Pulla Padmavathi participated in the hunger strike.
