Hyderabad: The TDP chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, has stated that the Congress party has no future.
Talking to hundreds of Congress and PRP workers from Anantapur district, who joined his party on Sunday under the leadership of Mr Prabhakara Choudary, Mr Naidu said that late Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was responsible for all the problems the State was facing now. Alleging that Dr Reddy had made hundreds of crores of rupees through dubious means when he was the Chief Minister, Mr Naidu has said that it was because of him that the State had plunged into all sorts of problems.
Mr Naidu also said that Dr. Reddy’s son, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy also made tons of illegal money under the guidance of his late father. Stating that Mr Jagan was working with the sole purpose of becoming Chief Minister and was launching his own political party as the Congress refused to give the reins of the state to him, Mr Naidu said that such parties would not survive for long. Mr Naidu has claimed that the TDP was the only party in the country which was opposed to the Congress party and had been waging an uncompromising fight with that party which specialized in scams and corruption.
