Hyderabad, Feb.12 (NSS): The AICC secretary and MLC Mr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy made it clear that the Congress government will prove its strength in the Assembly if the TRS moved a no-confidence motion. He said that they were not afraid of facing no-confidence motion in the Assembly.

Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Saturday along with MLC Mr KR Amos, Mr Sudhakar Reddy said that the formation of Telangana state was getting delayed because of the policies of TRS Chief Mr K Chandrashekar Rao. He called upon the TRS to work with the Congress to achieve Telangana as it did earlier by joining the late Dr YSR Cabinet.

Finding fault with the views of PCC official spokes person Mr Paladugu Venkat Rao, Mr Sudhakar Reddy said that it was not proper for the former to tell the AICC general secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi not to divide the State. It was not correct on the part of Mr Venkat Rao to misinterpret the history; he said and added that Mr Venkat Rao has to know the condition for the merger of Andhra and Telangana in 1956, that whenever the people of Telangana wanted they could opt for bifurcation.

It was also not proper for Mr Venkat Rao to say that the late Prime Minister Ms Indira Gandhi’s murder was the result of division of Punjab, and added the tragedy was the outcome of the ‘Operation Blue Star’ and the attack on the Golden Temple.

Mr KR Amos opined that it was better for the Telugu people to divide as brothers and it was not proper to propagate that some one was hatching a conspiracy to divide the Telugu people. Telangana State was not a new one, he said and advised the people who wanted to be together, to bring unity among the Telugu people living across the Country .

The MLC asked the TDP Chief Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, who approached the Courts in corruption cases, to withdraw the same and get the stays vacated immediately before launching agitation against Corruption. . (NSS)
