Hyderabad, Feb.3 (NSS): The Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA, Mr T. Harish Rao, on Thursday alleged that the Congress party was entering into an alliance with the Praja Rajyam Party with an intention to put creation of separate Telangana State in cold storage.
Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, Mr Harish Rao expressed his solidarity with the professors of several universities in the region who had launched a silent protest at the Gun Park, here on Thursday.
Mr Harish Rao said that the Telangana leaders should open their eyes at least now and take cognisance of the Congress party’s imminent tie-up with the Praja Rajyam party, which advocates continuance of the United Andhra Pradesh. He said that they would derail the smooth running of the administration until the Telangana State was achieved. He also urged all to extend their support to the proposed non-cooperation movement.
Speaking on the future activities to be taken up by the TRS party keeping in view the ensuing budget session, Mr Harish Rao said that his party would obstruct the Governor, Mr E S L Narsimhan, from addressing the Legislature. Besides, the party would neither let the budget to be presented, nor would it allow the House to run smoothly. He also said that they would rush towards the podium of the Speaker to obstruct the smooth functioning of the House. He called upon the leaders of the region from both the Congress and the Telugu Desam party to join them.
Mr Harish Rao urged the Parliament members from the region to obstruct the budget session of Parliament. Taking a dig at the Congress party high command, he questioned whether it would discipline only the Telangana members. (NSS)
