Hyderabad: The TDP Chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, has said the Congress party was responsible for corruption and scams both in the State and the country and was totally to be faulted for the present uncertainty in the State.
Addressing the second phase of the training camp of party Mandal presidents at the NTR Trust Bhavan on Wednesday, he has alleged that the former Chief Minister YSR had started a new slogan “take benefits from the government and invest in my son’s companies.” He has recalled that his party has exposed how various companies have invested in the companies owned by the YSR family members even while he was alive, in the Assembly. He said though the book published by his party “Raja of Corruption and Mining Mafia” was given to the President, Prime Minister and other constitutional heads, the Central government had failed to act in preventing the misuse of public money, he said. He lamented that the fruits of economic reforms were going into the pockets of corrupt persons instead of reaching the poor.
Stating that he strove that the State should be first in every sector, Mr Naidu has expressed resentment that the state was now going down because of the negligent and corrupt attitude of both the Central and State governments.
Mr Naidu said that Mandal Presidents of the party should lead party’s fights at the field level. Stating that it was their responsibility to identify the people’s problems and fight for them, he said they should be innovative in their thinking and develop leadership qualities by adapting themselves to changed situations. He requested the Mandal presidents to give field level information on agriculture problems, BCs development and poverty removal to the study committees set up during the Mahanadu and help in resolving the problems.
The party senior leaders, Mr Devender Goud, Mr Mandava Venkateswara Rao, Mr Vem Narender Reddy and Prof. Varlu, addressed the training programme. Mandal presidents of Chittoor, Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool and Prakasham districts have attended the programme.
