CPI Flays Congress Dual Stand On Telangana

Posted by on February 26, 2011 0 Comment

Hyderabad: Criticising the Congress party for its dual standards on Telangana issue, the CPI has demanded that the ruling party clear its political stand on the Telangana issue immediately.

The CPI also alleged that some of the Seemandhra leaders, who wanted posts, industries and rule, were creating problems to the Telangana people by obstructing the process of creation of separate State.

Speaking at the Assembly media point on Saturday after adjournment of the House, the CPI floor leader, Mr G Mallesh, has demanded that the government take action against those responsible for the Kakarapally incident. Condemning the police attack on the people, he demanded that the police refrain from such heinous acts against the people. He also said that it was not good for the government to be vindictive towards the employees who participated in the non cooperation movement demanding Telangana State.

Describing the Telangana movement as a freedom movement, Mr Mallesh said that the CPI would not tolerate the government’s “No work no pay” policy. (NSS)
